Everything you need to know to have a magical Christmas

Everything you need to know to have a magical Christmas

As moms, we dream of picture perfect holidays, but reality often falls short of that. Learn how to make this December as easy as possible for you, and more enjoyable for your whole family. #Christmas #toddlermom #toddlerschedules #holidays

We all want a magical Christmas, the kind we see in pictures or on movies with just the right amount of snow to look good, but not so much that we’re stuck and freezing cold. We want the presents to be perfect, the decorations to be placed just right, and to lose that last 10 pounds so we look amazing at all the parties and get showered with compliments of how great we look and how well behaved our children are. Or, something like that, right?

So, how do we make it happen?

We hire a personal assistant.

Just kidding!

While that would help (I imagine, I’ve never done it), that’s not the only way to slow down this holiday season and stop and smell the pine cones  and gingerbread cookies (after all, the roses aren’t out this time of year for most of us, so there’s no point in stopping to smell them). And, while I can’t come to your house and make things magical for you, I can share tips and strategies to save you time and energy, give you activities to do with your children so that you don’t have to find them yourself, and give you gift ideas.

Because I know that we all have high hopes and want everything to be perfect, but added activities and stress can get in the way of that, I have a few things to help make this holiday season more enjoyable for you and your children.

It's no secret that kids like to move. Use that to your advantage to help your child learn the ABCs and practice counting through yoga. Combine that with mindfulness, and you can work on patience and manners too! #yoga #kidsyoga #toddleractivity #mommyandmeParent and Me Yoga Challenge

Spend a few minutes each day trying new yoga poses with your child during this FREE challenge. Megan from Learning Lotuses has created an awesome 10 day sequence that takes us through the entire alphabet, a few letters (and poses) each time. Have more than a few minutes? Each day also includes craft activities to do with your child to help you practice one of the letters from that day. Kids want our attention. One of the best ways to prevent meltdowns from them is to spend quality time with them. Doing yoga for a few minutes each day can be a part of that.

The Academy from Lessons and Learning for Littles has everything modern toddlers need to learn and do fun activities from the comfort of their homes. Learn more today!

The Academy is a monthly program, which means you can enroll for as long as you’d like (just like a gym membership that doesn’t have a contract).
